Karn was a much requested session musician and can be heard on albums/music by, among others, Bill Nelson’s Chimera, Gary Numan, Terry Bozzio, Kate Bush and Joan Armatrading. In 2006 MK Music was founded, whose logo was part of every Mick Karn release ever since. In 2004 Karn left for Cyprus, in part dictated by the cheaper way of living there.
Karn was born Andonis Michaelides in Nicosia on 24 July 1958. When he was three, his Greek-Cypriot parents moved with him to London, where he was raised.In his youth he began playing mouth organ at the age of seven and violin at the age of eleven, before he took up playing bassoon for the school orchestra. Late Night Tales: Metronomy is a mix album compiled by Joseph Mount of English band Metronomy, released on 3 September 2012 as part of the Late Night Tales series.[1]
The mix features tracks from artists such as OutKast, Autechre, The Alan Parsons Project, Chick Corea and Cat Power.[1] Paul Morley contributes the spoken word piece, 'Lost for Words Pt.4'.[2]

Metronomy also recorded an exclusive cover version of Jean Michel Jarre’s ‘Hypnose’.[3]
Mick Karn's track 'Weather The Windmill', included in the compilation, would later be sampled heavily in Metronomy's track 'Mick Slow' on their 2016 album Summer 08.
